Health History and Consent to Care
All clients are required to complete a new client packet in full, including client information, health history, consent to care and liability release and review and acknowledgement of general policies, prior to receiving treatment or consult. Please either arrive a few minutes early to complete your paperwork or complete it in advance.
Clients are required to keep their practitioner apprised of any updates or changes to their health history and client information, including address changes, new health concerns and emergency contact person, and may be asked to complete the new client packet on a yearly basis.
Parking and Location
Iron Bird offers treatments and consults at 136 Maine Street, Suite 4, Brunswick ME 04011. The entrance is to the left of the Gulf of Maine Books storefront.

Payment and Gratuity
All sessions must be paid in full at the time of service. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted. Gratuities will be accepted if offered, but are never expected.
All policies apply to gift certificate purchases and scheduling. All scheduling is subject to availability. No refunds or exchanges are offered for gift certificates. Transfers may be permitted when requested in writing. Gift certificates are intended to be used as gifts and should not be redeemed by the purchaser. Though purchased gift certificates do not expire, use within one year is requested.
Cancellation/Rescheduling and Refunds
When you book an appointment, we commit that time and reserve it just for you. A 36-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without a charge. For appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than a 36-hour notice, the full session fee will be either charged to your credit card on file or billed by mail or email. Payment is due before your next appointment.
To cancel your appointment, please use the link provided in your confirmation email or contact your provider directly by phone, email or text. If canceling by contact rather than via the online scheduler, cancellation must be confirmed by your provider in order to avoid paying the session fee.
To cancel or reschedule with less than a 36-hour notice while avoiding paying for the session in full, consider sending a friend in your place. Notice is appreciated!
Exceptions can be made in certain circumstances, and at the discretion of the business owner, when requested in writing.
Class registration fees are non-refundable. Products are non-returnable and non-refundable. Most gift certificates do not expire. All gift certificates are non-refundable. All scheduling is subject to availability.
We do our best to schedule appointments at the convenience of our clients. However, we cannot extend sessions beyond the scheduled time frame to accommodate late arrivals. Should you arrive late, we will provide the fullest service possible within the allotted time.
Massage/bodywork and wellness consultations are not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 36-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.
Traditional Thai bodywork is performed with the client fully clothed. Please choose clothing that is neither too tight nor too loose. Please avoid nylon and other slippery fabrics. There are a few procedures that require removal of some clothing. In these cases, appropriate draping will be used.
During a typical session, it is very likely that herbal balms, liniments or compresses will be applied over or under clothing, potentially staining fabric. Please wear clothing that is appropriate for herbal applications, comfort and movement during your session. If you have questions or concerns, please advise your practitioner in advance.
We always treat our clients with respect and consideration. Our goal is always to provide excellent customer service. However, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason.
Attendance, Participation, Testing, Completion Forms
Students are expected to be present for and participate in the entire class. If you wish to register for a class that you know you will be absent for any part of, please contact Jessica to discuss before registering. Completion certificates will only be given to students who attend and participate in the entire class.
Most CE classes will conclude with an evaluation. Completion of the course is dependent upon a satisfactory evaluation as well as attendance for all training hours. Please note that award of continuing education hours in any class is based on the instructor’s judgment that the student is competent in providing safe and authentic bodywork and will represent the methods, tools, and knowledge taught with satisfactory ability.

Behavior, Safety, Discrimination
Students are expected to be sober, clean, safe and respectful of classmates and the instructor. Any student found to be in class while under the influence of intoxicating substances will be asked to leave the class and will not be refunded tuition. Any student who the instructor finds to be sexually harassing or otherwise compromising the emotional and/or physical safety of another student or the instructor will be asked to leave the class and will not be refunded tuition. Any student who does not work in a manner that is safe, or who in any way compromises the safety of themselves or anyone else in the class, will be asked to leave the class and will not be refunded tuition.
Iron Bird does not and shall not discriminate, nor allow discrimination to take place in classes, on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
Payments/Cancellation/Rescheduling and Refunds
Iron Bird keeps classes small so that students can receive the best possible instruction. Class fees must be paid in full at least 14 days in advance of the class start date. For multi-day classes, a minimum 50% deposit is required to register for and hold a space in class. For one-day classes, a full tuition payment is required to register for and hold a space in class. All tuition and deposits are non-refundable. In the rare event that Iron Bird must cancel or reschedule a class due to reasons other than weather, enrolled students have the choice to be refunded their paid tuition, or to have their tuition applied toward a future class.
Students traveling from afar are encouraged to purchase trip insurance as most flights can be refunded with proof of class cancellation, which can be provided by Iron Bird. Iron Bird is not responsible for monies spent in preparation for travel to and from classes.
